There’s nothing I love more than giving thoughtful gifts to the people I love. I used to curate personalized gift boxes for my friends for any and every occasion. Slowly my friends started asking me to put together gift boxes for their friends and the idea of Peacock Moon was born there… from a deep desire to spark a smile and spread some joy.

Along this journey I realized that despite the numerous gifting brands and subscriptions, there was a giant blank space addressing the needs of the South Asian community. This inspired me to create one-of-a-kind gift boxes that capture that colorful heritage, my heritage, my way of showcasing a small piece of that glorious culture. As I started curating these boxes and building my brand, I came across small business owners from across the world, many of them fighting to keep alive craft traditions that are slowly dying out. It made me want to reach out and help other entrepreneurs and craftsmen hit by the debilitating pandemic. Slowly their fight became mine.

As a female-owned business, I want to empower other women in my own small way which is why 10 percent of all profits go towards PCVC, a not-for-profit based in India that helps domestic abuse victims seek refuge and rehabilitation.

Combining my love of beautiful things with helping small businesses and keeping alive traditions, all while bringing a box of joy into someone’s life is a win. This journey has been incredibly fun, enlightening, and immensely gratifying! Thank you for coming along with us!
